About Salsa
Cuban Salsa, as the name suggests, originally comes from Cuba. On the whole, Salsa is a traditional dance from Africa, India and Spain, but there are two main types of Salsa: Cuban Salsa and New York Salsa.
In brief, the main difference between the two versions is that Cuban Salsa has 4 beats by 4 beats and New York Salsa has 4 beats by 3 beats.
Florentin and the Darwen Cuban Salsa Group participate and teach the Cuban form of Salsa.
So, what are you waiting for?
Attending one of our lessons is a great way to keep fit, meet new people and learn how to dance. Our Salsa classes are always fun, friendly and welcoming and we aim to ensure you want to keep coming back for more lessons! We accomodate dancers of all levels and hope to take you from absolute beginner to confident dancer in as little time as possible.
Private lessons are also available upon request at an additional cost. For any more information please contact Florentin on 07784290181 or Joyce on 01254 703684.
