About Darwen Cuban Salsa Group

The Darwen Cuban Salsa Group was formed in January 2008, operating on Wednesday evenings from Darwen Community Centre on Knott Street. We teach Cuban Salsa with three weekly classes and hold regular social parties throughout Darwen and neighbouring towns.

The family social parties are held every two months and everyone is welcome - beginners to experienced dancers, children to OAP's, individuals, couples and groups of friends. Everybody is guaranteed a good time!

Key Personnel

The group has a committee consisting of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and committee members.

The group is led by Florentin who volunteers his time to teach the class.  Florentin arrived from Cameroon in December 2005. His knowledge of Cuban Salsa comes from Cameroon where he studied Salsa for 9 years and gained a qualification.

All group members volunteer their time to help with the classes and party nights.
